“When I was 5 years old, my dad came back from a camping trip with an injury to his neck and shoulder. He went through physical therapy, chiropractics, and acupuncture for pain relief. Though I was only a child, he told me I had strong hands and began having me work on him. I became his ‘personal therapist’. Soon after I began working on my aunties, uncles and cousins at family gatherings for a common condition called ‘katakori’ (shoulder stiffness).

As I began college, I started working as a physical therapist aide providing treatments at hospitals and private practices. These professional experiences lead me further towards my life’s work.

After graduating from CSULB, I went to the Shiatsu Massage School of California. My sensei (teacher), Dr. DoAnn Tsuneo Kaneko, not only taught me the art of Shiatsu Anma Therapy, but inspired me be the best therapist I could be. When I graduated I received the Kaneko Award, named after him.

I have worked in the healing arts with acupuncturists, physical therapists, and chiropractors for many years and in 2009 I opened my office, One, Natural Healing Center in Torrance, California.”
